10th Grade Parents: The counselor's presentation is now virtual, still at 6:00pm. Please use Emily Johnson's Google Meet. We will discuss Tech Center, Early College, Dual Enrollment, and AP course options.

12th Grade Students and Parents: Our big night for FAFSA and Scholarship Help will be rescheduled for an in-person event in the future. Details need to be finalized, counselors will be in touch with the rescheduled date.

📣 IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING SNOWCOMING

Due to the challenging nature of the weather this week, all Snowcoming related festivities will be moved to the week of February 9th- February 13th.

This means that the testosterone volleyball game will be held on February 11th at 7:30. The new date for the Snowcoming dance will be Saturday, February 14th, from 8 pm -11pm.

In addition, Snowcoming court recognition will occur at half time of the February 13th home game versus Otsego.

All previously announced spirit days will continue as planned just during the week of February 9th to February 13th. Thank you for your continued flexibility and support of Plainwell High School.

📣 IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING CONFERENCES:

Due to inclement weather and Plainwell Community Schools closures, all Parent-Teacher Conferences scheduled for this evening will be held virtually. This includes all in person conferences.

If you have already scheduled an in person conference, it will still take place at your designated time, but it will be conducted virtually with your student’s teacher. Meeting links were sent via email. Please contact your teacher if other arrangements need to be made. If you had previously scheduled a virtual conference, that conference will be held with no changes.

The PHS Student Services Department had scheduled two presentations for this evening. The FAFSA and Scholarship Night which was scheduled for this evening will tentatively be scheduled for next week. School counselors will be in contact once those plans have been solidified.

The Sophomore Presentation scheduled tonight will become virtual. That presentation will occur between 6:00 to 7:30 using Mrs. Emily Johnson’s Google Meet link.

We are looking forward to seeing upcoming freshman students at our open house in February. This is a chance to get some information like:

-What scheduling 9th grade classes looks like as well as an advanced copy of elective choices, giving you the option to talk with your student before counselors head to the middle school for scheduling.
-Graduation requirements
-Important upcoming dates - including the Champions program in the summer.

The Plainwell Volunteer Christmas Project will be hosting two dine-in fundraising events to support their program.

November 12th, 4:00-8:00 PM- Pizza Hut
PVCP will receive 10% of all dine-in and carry-out sales during this time.

December 1st, 5:00-8:00 PM - Culver's
PVCP will receive 10% of all sales from the event.

This Friday, November 7, is the final day of the PHS Multicultural Club’s Donation Drive supporting Christian Neighbors and their mission to help individuals in our community experiencing homelessness.

Let’s come together to spread warmth and care this season!
We’re collecting blankets and essential comfort items to help bring warmth during the cold months.

Drop-off Locations: PHS Main Office and at the “T”

Suggested Donation Items:
New or gently used blankets, chapstick, travel-size deodorant, mini toothpaste, mini shaving cream, razors, travel wipes, travel first aid kits, hand warmers, reusable water bottles, feminine hygiene products, hats/gloves, snacks (trail mix, granola bars, fruit cups, cracker packs), and $10 laundry or local fast food gift cards.
