There’s a growing feeling in our community that Town Democrat leaders govern with the attitude of “we’ll silence you because we can.”
These actions reflect how Town Democrats have been operating — using authoritarian tactics simply because they hold the majority. Their leadership has shown a lack of respect and collegiality, even within their own caucus.
“I don’t care!” — the words of Board of Education Chair Becky Tyrrell — say it all.
Meanwhile, Town Democrats remain silent on these issues while continuing to silence Republicans in the minority and even members of their own party by removing the Board Open Forum from the agenda.
Another partisan move aimed at stifling dialogue — and yet another reason they should not be allowed to retain power.
