Mother Nature: Here's some rain💧. Also, Mother Nature: Here come the mosquitoes 🦟.

Mosquitoes can grow from eggs to adults in less than 10 days. There are a few thing you can do to help prevent mosquitoes from breeding around your home.

Quick ways to stop mosquitoes:
✅Dump standing water
✅Clean gutters
✅Refresh birdbaths and pet bowls often
✅Empty and refill wading pools several times a week
✅Cover trash cans
✅Maintain pools and hot tubs

Protect yourself with the Four Ds:
📌Dusk/Dwan: Avoid peak mosquito hours
📌Dress: Wear long sleeves/pants outdoors
📌DEET: Use insect repellent
📌Drain: Remove standing water around your home

Applications are still OPEN for our Spay & Neuter Program! 🐕

We’re excited for the second round of our spay and neuter grant through Furry Freight, in partnership with the Plainview Animal Clinic and our Animal Management team, who worked diligently to bring this program to Plainview.

To qualify for this second round of the grant, Furry Freight assessed Plainview’s stray population and found that large dogs are the most likely to end up in the shelter and the least likely to be adopted. Because of this, only dogs 30 lbs and up qualify for the program.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must live within Plainview city limits
Must provide a valid Plainview water bill
Dog must weigh 30 lbs or more

If accepted, you must schedule an appointment within 1 month and complete the spay/neuter within 2 months.

Long body, short stubby legs, slim little dinus shape…Pringle is built exactly like a can of Pringles, and he needs of a home!

Basically a Corgi/Pit mix who forgot how proportions work.

Pringle is energetic, goofy, playful, and full of personality. He’s the kind of dog that keeps you laughing with his silly little body and happy-go-lucky attitude.

He’s dog friendly, loves to play, and is always ready for the next adventure — whether that’s zoomies in the yard, wrestling with dog friends, or soaking up attention from his people.

If you’re looking for a fun-sized best friend with endless charm and a body shape you truly have to see to believe… Pringle is your guy.
