Hale County Juvenile Probation Department is HIRING! They are hiring JJAEP/DAEP EDUCATION INSTRUCTOR!!
Daily Rate: $180 per day
Location: 305 Broadway Street, Plainview TX 79072
Reports to: Hale County JJAEP/DAEP Administrator or Chief Juvenile Probation Officer.
Primary Purpose: Provide students with appropriate learning activities & experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to fulfill students’ potential for intellectual, emotional and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Competency in the core academic subject assigned.
Knowledge:
General knowledge of curriculum & instruction
Ability to instruct students & manage classroom behavior.
Possess strong organization, communication & interpersonal skills.

Duties:
Instruct the education curriculum of the JJAEP/DAEP program.
Coordinate efforts with the JJAEP/DAEP administrator or counselor in obtaining and returning JJAEP/DAEP records to the appropriate school district and juvenile probation office.
Refer discipline students to the Physical Education Instructors, JPO or campus administrator.

Summary:
Must perform all essential duties of the JJAEP/DAEP Education Instructor and other assigned duties as directed by the JJAEP/DAEP Administrator or Chief Juvenile Probation Officer. The education instructor will be provided with a 30-minute daily lunch break. The typical workday will be from 7:30am until 4pm unless the school day must be adjusted for inclement weather or early release.
