🎒 BACK-TO-SCHOOL SAFETY 🚌📚
As students head back to school, our roads will once again be busy with children walking, biking, waiting for buses, and traveling through school zones.
Please help us start the school year safely by slowing down, staying alert, and keeping these important reminders in mind:
🚌 Stop for school buses displaying flashing red lights and an extended stop arm. On undivided roadways, traffic in both directions must stop.
🚸 Watch for children near schools, bus stops, crosswalks, sidewalks, and driveways.
🚗 Slow down in school zones and obey all posted speed limits, signs, and signals.
📵 Put the phone down and avoid distractions while driving.
🚲 Kids walking or biking: Use sidewalks and crosswalks, obey traffic signals, look both ways before crossing, and always wear a properly fitted helmet when riding a bicycle.
Keeping our students safe is a shared responsibility. A little extra patience and attention can make a big difference.
Have a safe and successful school year! 🎒📚
