Plainfield Arts The Plainfield Opera House (also known as The Plainfield Town Hall) is a space owned and run by the town of Plainfield, Vermont.

Plainfield Arts is an organization of volunteers dedicated to keeping the arts and community alive and thriving in Plainfield, Vermont and the surrounding region. The final production of Green Mountain Shakespeare Festival's 2026 season, 'RICHARD III,' opens on August 20th at the Plainfield Town Hall Opera House, in Plainfield, VT. Directed by Fergus Ryan and starring Caleb Paige.

The theme of the festival this season has been 'THE DEATH OF KINGS'. In 'RICHARD III' the death of the English king leads to a reign of terror, tyranny, and despotism.
