The final production of Green Mountain Shakespeare Festival's 2026 season, 'RICHARD III,' opens on August 20th at the Plainfield Town Hall Opera House, in Plainfield, VT. Directed by Fergus Ryan and starring Caleb Paige.

The theme of the festival this season has been 'THE DEATH OF KINGS'. In 'RICHARD III' the death of the English king leads to a reign of terror, tyranny, and despotism.

In 'LOVE'S LABORS' LOST' the death of the French king turns what should be a joyful occasion celebrating marriage into a somber lesson on commitment in relationships.
