For the next several weeks, the Plainfield Fire Territory will be conducting dive rescue training in public bodies of water throughout the community.

The goal is to have a fully operational dive rescue team in service by this fall, further enhancing emergency response capabilities and public safety.

Thank you to our Fire Territory for their continued commitment to training, preparedness, and finding new ways to keep our community safe.

Today, we celebrated the ribbon cutting for two exciting additions to Downtown Plainfield’s Main Street!

While many have already had the chance to stop in during their soft opening, today marked the official grand opening celebration for Roots Market & Eatery.

Upstairs in the same building, The Eyrie Wedding & Event Venue also officially opened its doors, bringing a beautiful new space for gatherings and celebrations to Downtown Plainfield.

We’re excited to see these new businesses continue to grow and thrive in our community!

School’s Out! And so are the construction barrels. On Wednesday, 5/27, Milestone intends to close Elm Drive at the intersection with Michael Drive and Hancook Road.

This closure will last all Summer but get re-opened before next school year begins. The improvements are all part of the Town’s project to extend Stout Heritage west of Quaker Boulevard and improve local connectivity to the neighborhood and school area.

Bridge work and improvement at the intersection of Quaker Boulevard will continue with a targeted opening of the new roadway to the public by Thanksgiving. All construction activity is weather dependent so please continue to follow progress on our social media.

Thank you for your patience and as always, please drive cautiously through construction zones to keep all drivers and workers safe.
