RDC is a maximum security intake facility for adult males sentenced to the DOC. All adult males are classified and transferred to long-term facilities.

RDC and IYC competed yesterday in a tug of war match. Congratulations to IDOC Plainfield Correctional Facility on their win. Today, the co****le competition took place between RDC, Indiana Women's Prison, IDOC Putnamville Correctional Facility, and IDOC Plainfield Correctional Facility. Congratulations to Putnamville on their win. It was a great time bringing many facilities together to enjoy a cookout, co****le, and axe throwing.

Another fun day celebrating staff during employee appreciation week. Family day allowed staff to bring in family members for facility tours, pizza, games, and axe throwing. Thank you to Hot Box pizza of Plainfield for donating many pizzas for staff and family to enjoy today.

Today was a great kickoff to Employee Appreciation Week. Thank you to Mooresville VFW for coming out and raising the flag. We celebrated our staff who are veterans with flags that represent their branch of Military. Thank you to Pana Donuts of Avon for their donation of donuts to staff. Co****le was a great way for staff to take a break and everyone is excited for the tournament on Friday. We are looking forward to the rest of week.

Employee Appreciation Week is approaching quickly. 5/8/2026 is our Retiree Day and we will be having a cookout starting at 11am. Please come visit us and catch up with co-workers and have some food.
