Today we celebrate the Class of 2026 at Plainfield High School.

This group of 423 graduates has left a lasting mark on PHS through academics, service, leadership, the arts, athletics, career preparation, and the relationships they built along the way. From AP Scholars and Indiana College Core completers to student leaders, performers, athletes, interns, and future military enlistees, the Class of 2026 represents the very best of what it means to be a Quaker.

The numbers tell an impressive story, but they only capture part of the impact this class has made. Behind every statistic are students who challenged themselves, supported one another, and helped strengthen the culture of Plainfield High School.

We are proud of all they have accomplished and excited to see where life takes them next. Congratulations to the Class of 2026. Once a Quaker, always a Quaker. Go Quakers!

Day 26: The Class of 2026.

Today marks the final day of high school for the Class of 2026.

This group brought leadership, energy, resilience, and pride to Plainfield High School. They competed, performed, served, created, and pushed themselves to grow over the last four years. More importantly, they helped shape the culture of our school and left a lasting impact on the people around them.

They leave behind memories, traditions, relationships, and a standard for future Quakers to follow.

They left PHS better than they found it.

That is PHS.

Day 25: Student Internships.

Learning did not stop at the classroom door for more than 100 Quakers this year.

Through internships and work based learning experiences, students had the opportunity to explore careers, build employability skills, and gain real world experience in fields that matched their interests. From teaching and marketing to dance, dental, screen printing, and countless other pathways, students were able to dive deeper into future careers while developing the skills that will help them succeed beyond high school.

These experiences are only continuing to grow. As part of the new graduation framework, Plainfield is piloting a summer work based learning program that will create even more opportunities for students beginning with the Class of 2029.

This is preparation. This is opportunity. This is students connecting learning to the real world.

Day 24: Evening of Distinction.

Academic excellence was on full display as we honored the top students from the Class of 2026.

Throughout the evening, we celebrated students who have excelled across countless areas, from academics and leadership to service, involvement, and career preparation. Their future plans were impressive and reflected the strong foundation built during their four years at PHS.

The scholarships, awards, and recognitions highlighted not only achievement, but also the dedication, resilience, and growth that made those accomplishments possible.

This is excellence earned. This is students preparing for what comes next.

Day 23: Boys Basketball.

This team brought our community together.

The Quakers put together an outstanding season, finishing 22–3 while capturing back to back Mid State Conference Championships with a perfect 7–0 conference record. They also brought home the program’s first Hendricks County Championship since 2009.

Led by senior Indiana All Star Noah Smith, this group competed with toughness, energy, and consistency all season long. As the wins continued to pile up, so did the support from the community, creating an atmosphere that made this season feel special from start to finish.

It also marked Coach Weaver’s final season leading the Quakers, making the run even more meaningful.

This is tradition. This is community. This is Quaker pride at its best.

Review day brought plenty of creativity and laughter to English 9 at Plainfield High School as students used GIFs, memes, and images to review Romeo and Juliet for their upcoming unit test. Working in groups, students created visual clues and challenged classmates to identify characters, scenes, and important moments from the play.

The activity encouraged PHS students to think critically about the text while using humor and collaboration to reinforce their understanding in a memorable way.

Day 22: Multilingual Learners.

This year brought important growth for our Multilingual Learner program and, more importantly, greater support for students.

Through a strong partnership between our English and World Languages departments, PHS expanded staffing and created more targeted instructional opportunities to better meet the needs of students learning English. By introducing newcomer and intermediate levels, students now receive instruction that is more closely aligned to their individual language development.

This work is about more than academics. It is about helping students feel supported, connected, and confident as they navigate a new language and school experience.

This is opportunity. This is inclusion. This is meeting students where they are and helping them grow.

That is PHS.
