🏊 While we had a great opening Memorial Day weekend, the Plain City Aquatic Center FULLY OPENS for the 2026 season this Saturday, May 30 at 11 AM! ☀️

📍 Pool Season: May 30 – September 7

Please Note: The pool will remain closed Thursday, May 28 and Friday, May 29 while Jonathan Alder Schools are still in session, as many of our seasonal staff members are still in school.

However, the Aquatic Center office will have open office hours on May 28-29 from 3–6 PM for:
✔️ Pool memberships
✔️ Membership renewals
✔️ Swim lesson registration

🏊 Swim Lesson Registration: Limited spots remain depending on age group and are available on a first come, first served basis.

Please remember: Swim lesson registration is IN-PERSON ONLY so staff can speak with parents about swim levels and place children in the appropriate class.

💧Regular Pool Hours Beginning May 30:
Monday – Thursday: 11 AM – 8 PM
Friday – Sunday: 11 AM – 7 PM

As long as the temperature hovers around 70, the pool temperature is 83 and there’s no thunder and lightning- the pool will be OPEN!

🎭✨ Heroes? Villains? Why not BOTH?!

There’s still time to register your young performer for this summer’s Drama Camp at Pastime Park — and trust us, your kids are going to LOVE this adventure-filled week of creativity, characters, and fun! 🌟

This year’s theme is: Descendants of Heroes and Villains: Where the next generation’s story is about to be written! 🦸‍♂️😈

Campers will dive into a world where legacy is everything as they explore heroic quests, mischievous villains, exciting acting games, character creation, stagecraft, teamwork, and so much more! Whether your child loves the spotlight or is just discovering their creative side, this camp is the perfect place to build confidence and have fun. 🎬🎤

🏊 2026 Swim Lesson Registration Opens Soon at the Plain City Aquatic Center!

📍 Registration is IN-PERSON ONLY at the Pool Office during office hours, beginning next Monday, May 18. This allows staff to ask parents questions about their young swimmer and help place each child in the appropriate class level for the best learning experience and growth in the water.

🗓️ Village Resident Registration: May 18–25
🗓️ Open Registration Begins: May 26

Office Hours:
• May 18–22 | 3–6 PM
• May 26–29 | 3–6 PM

💳 Payment is due at the time of registration. Cash and credit card accepted.

Swim lessons return this summer starting with Session 1 in June! Help your child build confidence, learn water safety, and develop swimming skills in a fun and supportive environment.

💦 Ages 4–6
• Guppy Level 1 — water comfort, bubbles, floating & basic swim movements
• Goldfish Level 2 — beginner swim strokes & confidence building

💦 Ages 7+
• Stingray Level 1 — beginner swim skills for older children
• Dolphin Level 2 — deep-water swimming, endurance & stroke technique

Who wants to sharpen their golf game this spring? ⛳🏌️

Register for Plain City Golf Lessons, our final 4-week session of the year, taught by PGA professional Gary Bower at Pastime Park.

🏌️‍♀️Whether you're new to golf or just want to hone your skills, our fall session is your chance to learn and have some fun in a small-group setting. Sessions are offered on Tuesday evenings for juniors (ages 8–15) and adults (16+).

Earth Day gave us a little rain, but it couldn’t wash away the excitement at Wednesday's Plain City Earth Day Tree Giveaway! 🌧️🌳

We gathered under cover at the Pastime Park Cattle Barn, and even caught a break in the rain, as we successfully gave away more than 2,200 free tree saplings…and yes, every single one found a home!

👏 Thank you to everyone who came out and made the commitment to plant a tree and support a greener, healthier environment. Your impact will grow for years to come.

🌱 We’re already looking forward to doing it all again next year!
