You all know I’ve been doing this thing (Coffee with Council and Friends) at the Plain City Farmers' Market. I started out doing it every other Thursday, but now I enjoy going there sooo much, I’m there every week. So if you have not had a chance to stop by and say “hi”, this is an invitation to come enjoy our small town charm and support local farmers and artisans. While you are at it, you can also find out what Plain City Council is really up to!! See you Thursday!!

I had fun talking with some local residents at the Plain City Farmers Market tonight. Taxes, walkability, water/sewer and even how to run for Council. All of this while feasting on some delicious food from the Schmidt’s food truck.

On this Memorial Day, we take a moment to honor and remember the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

We owe a debt of gratitude to these courageous individuals and their families, who have given so much to protect our freedoms and uphold our values.

Wow!! The Station by Brick House Blue is such a nice space. So fun to have seen the transition from old to new and all the effort that went into preserving the historical elements. If I needed a office for co-working, this would be the place I'd choose.

James Sintz, Plain City Councilman and I, along with staff attended the Grand Opening for Brick House Blue located at 213 S. Chillicothe Street. The elements of modern and historical architecture showcases our proud heritage and promising future!

I aways get so caught up in these events that I forget to take pictures, but I did manage to snap one this past Saturday (after several people had to leave) for our Coffee with Council and Friends event over at the Plain City Historical Society.

As always we had some great conversations and we laughed a lot. The topics that were discussed had some strong emotions attached them at times, but there is something magical that happens when you are willing to hear and let others speak. We found some common ground and deepened our understanding of each other's perspectives. That's what Coffee with Council and Friends is all about!

When you get a chance, stop by Pastime Park and see the new White Oak that was planted over by the South Shelter during Plain City's 1st annual Arbor Day celebration this past Friday.

Big thanks to Plain City staff, Alistair Reynolds (ODNR), Tolles staff and students, and of course Ben and Kathy Cosgray for their donation.
