From the DJ and dancing to karaoke, games with awesome prizes, endless snacks, and the ultimate crowd-pleaser—the In-N-Out truck! 🍔🔥

Music under the open sky! 🎶✨ Last Wednesday, the Tuffree field came alive for our Instrumental Music Spring Concert, and what a spectacular evening it was!
Our amazing orchestra and concert band delivered beautiful performances, and all three of our jazz bands brought the energy to the field! 🎷🎺 A huge highlight of the night was a Tuffree tradition in the making: our principal, Ms. Barton, stepping up to lead the drumline for the second year in a row! 🥁🔥
The night was made even more special with a brand-new tradition. The Oboe Foundation (www.oboefoundation.org) introduced the Jim Hahn Leadership Award, and we are incredibly proud to announce its very first recipient: our talented drum major and bass trombonist, Kairi De La Hoya-Barrios! 🏆👏

Tuffree WEB Leaders hosted an activity day with students from George Key School. Students enjoyed interacting with one another through fun games and activities, such as Just Dance, friendship bracelet making, and even a "dunk tank"! It was a memorable experience that teachers from both schools want to make into an annual tradition! This is what community is all about! 🖤💛

Last Thursday, the PAC hosted our annual Big Jazz Concert, and it’s safe to say the bar has officially been raised! 🚀
Our incredible Tuffree Middle School Jazz 1, 2 & 3 bands shared the stage with Yorba Linda Middle School’s Jazz 1 & 2 for a spectacular showcase of talent. 🎺 🎷 🥁
But the magic didn’t stop there. We were absolutely honored to welcome the phenomenal Kyle Athayde and the Kyle Athayde Dance Party big band! Every single middle school band had the surreal opportunity to perform with Kyle, and our Jazz 1 students even got to play side-by-side with world-renowned musicians. 🎶✨
Huge thanks to for your incredible generosity. Thank you for not just putting on a FANTASTIC show, but for spending the week in our instrumental music classes and mentoring students at both schools. Our musicians will never forget this experience!

✨ Last week’s Annual Dance Team Recital at the PAC brought back all of this year’s favorite performances, and our girls absolutely crushed it.
The skill, grace, and tremendous growth they’ve shown this season is a direct result of their relentless hard work and passion for dance. We couldn’t be prouder of this team!

What a whirlwind of a week! Our hearts (and coffee mugs) are absolutely full after an incredible Teacher Appreciation Week.
Huge shoutouts to our amazing PTA for the delicious treats and thoughtful surprises that kept us fueled and smiling. And to our students—your kind words, high-fives, and energy are exactly why we love coming to work every single day. Tuffree truly is the best place to be! 🖤💛✨
The “Underground” Fun 🕵️‍♂️👕
While the school was celebrating us, the staff decided to have a little “secret” fun of our own with Underground Dress Up Days. We kept the students guessing all week with these themes:
• Slightly Off Day: Why wear matching shoes when you can rock two different ones? 👟👞
• ABC Day: The “Anything But a Cup” challenge was a huge hit. (Root beer from a soy sauce bottle, anyone?) 🏺
• Canadian Tuxedo Day: Denim on denim on denim. 👖🧥
• Zoom Teacher Day: Professionalism from the waist up; pure comfort (pajamas!) from the waist down. 💻🛌
• Nowhere Else To Wear This Day: From Mrs. Koss in her wedding dress to full Mr. LeGrand in full backpacking gear—if it didn’t fit the occasion, it was perfect for today. 💃🤿
Thank you, Falcons, for making this week so memorable. We’re so lucky to be part of such a vibrant, supportive, and hilarious community!

AVID 8th graders had the privilege of hearing from guest speakers from the CHOC transport team and over the past two weeks!

Students learned about these interesting careers, including the challenges and rewards of each profession, as well as the education, training, and experience needed to succeed in these fields.

A big thank you to the presenters for taking time out of their busy schedules to inspire our students and expose them to these career paths!
