Placentia Fire and Life Safety is inviting qualified candidates to apply for our Fire Prevention Specialist openings. The Fire Prevention Specialist performs technical fire prevention inspection and enforcement tasks to ensure compliance with applicable codes, including state and local fire, life/safety, and building codes and ordinances; provides public information and develops educational programs regarding fire safety practices; and performs other duties as assigned.

🔥 Keeping our community safe starts with prevention.

Each year, Placentia Fire and Life Safety’s Community Risk Reduction Division conducts business and multi-family dwelling inspections throughout the City to help identify fire and life safety hazards, ensure compliance with fire codes, and support a safer environment for employees, customers, and first responders.

Inspection fees are allowed by the State Fire Marshal as cost-recovery fees and help cover staff time associated with conducting inspections. These fees are reviewed annually and approved by the City Council.

Through education, prevention, and enforcement, we're working together to reduce risk and protect our community.

This morning, Fire Chief Dobine was able to recognize Firefighter Guerrero at the ’s First Responder Breakfast.

This annual event highlights first responders that provide service to the City of Placentia. Firefighter Guerrero received this year’s honor for his consistent initiative, dedication, and commitment to growth. His drive to improve himself is driven from his character, discipline, and genuine passion to serve others.
