Join Pittston Township and Amazon for a spooktacular Trunk or Treat event! 👻🍬 Bring the whole family for a safe, fun-filled afternoon of costumes, candy, and community spirit!

🚨 REMINDER OF PROPERTY REBATE RECEIPTS 🚨

Pittston Township residents...

Just a reminder that the last day to turn in 2026 property receipts is September 30th, 2026. Any receipts dropped off after that date will not receive a rebate.

☀ MUNICIPAL BUILDING OPERATIONS/GARBAGE COLLECTION--LABOR DAY HOLIDAY 🛠

Due to the Labor Day holiday, the Pittston Township Municipal Building will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th, 2026. The building will re-open with regular business hours on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026.

Additionally, due to the Labor Day holiday, garbage collection by JP Mascaro will occur on SATURDAY, September 12th, 2026. If any resident has any questions or concerns on garbage collection, please call JP Mascaro directly at 1-800-243-7575.

2026 Pittston Area School District Real Estate Taxes:

Monday, September 14 is the last day to pay taxes at a discount.

Office hours to pay in person for the next 2 weeks are as follows:
Monday, August 31st 10am-Noon and 4-6pm
Tuesday, September 1st 4-6pm
Thursday,September 3rd 4-6pm
Monday September 7th No office hours(Labor Day)
Tuesday, September 8th 4-6pm
Friday, September 11th 4-6pm
Monday, September 14th 10am-Noon and 4-6pm

The Pittston Township Code Enforcement office will be closed from Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026 until Thursday, September 10th, 2026.

During that time, if any resident has any questions or concerns, please contact the office at 570-654-0161.
