Attention residents: Our recycling calendar incorrectly lists City Hall as closed today. City Hall will actually be closed on Monday, June 15, in observance of Flag Day.

If you have business to take care of before the weekend, City Hall is open today from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

We will reopen on Tuesday, June 16, at 9:00 AM.

Thank you for your understanding, and we apologize for any confusion!

Big thanks to our amazing Pittston City staff who came together today for a major lot cleanup at the corner of Elizabeth and Garfield Streets!

Through the hard work of the Pittston City Neighborhood Action Team (NAT), Office of Community Development, Redevelopment Authority, Department of Public Works, Fire Department, and additional City staff, crews removed a truckload of trash along with a garbage truck full of brush, dead trees, and yard waste. Their dedication continues to make a real difference in keeping our neighborhoods clean, safe, and beautiful.

This effort is part of NAT’s ongoing mission to address community concerns like illegal dumping while helping return blighted properties back to productive use.

This over 6,000 SF buildable lot in the Historic Oregon section is currently available for sale to the public. Learn more here: https://www.pittstonrda.com/properties

Big things are happening in Pittston and we’re incredibly grateful for the support that helps move our city forward.

A huge thank you to Senator Marty Flynn and Rep. Jim Haddock for helping Pittston secure TWO Local Share Account Grants that will make a major impact on our community and downtown development efforts.

Pittston City Market & Main Promenade – Park Improvements
$300,000 awarded toward the transformation and enhancement of the Market & Main Promenade area. Concept renderings and design work were created by OOMBRA Architects and Ground Reconsidered, helping shape a vibrant public gathering space for residents and visitors alike.

Pittston City Open Space Build Out - $400,000 awarded to support critical building-wide electrical upgrades and basement buildout improvements aimed at preparing new commercial tenant spaces along Wharf Street.

These investments continue the momentum happening throughout our city and help lay the groundwork for future growth, business development, recreation, and community engagement.
