The 30 square miles that comprise the school district include portions of the towns of Pittsford, Perinton, Penfield, Victor, Mendon and Brighton. The district's programs, staff and curriculum are considered among the best available in schools anywhere. Over 1,150

employees including teachers, administrators, and support staff provide quality services for an enrollment of approximately 6,040 students in nine school buildings.

Ceramics II classes from MHS visited to Nazareth College for a Raku ceramics firing with Professor Mitch Messina. He inspired us with his pottery wheel throwing demonstrations and extensive knowledge of Ceramics. Students each created a ceramic vessel specifically for this field trip and got to bring their vessels back to school. Images of their artwork will be displayed on the walls of MHS.

Sutherland seniors took part in the Senior Breakfast tradition this morning with support from PTSA. They were also the first to get their hands on the 2026 yearbook. Underclassmen are able to pick up their yearbooks from the main office today and next week. We have a few extras for students that didn’t order one. Check with the Main Office for more info!

As part of the ongoing construction and renovation project at Barker Road Middle School, the building will be closed from 5 p.m. June 26 through June 30 to accommodate a planned electrical shutdown.

The temporary closure is necessary to allow contractors to safely complete critical electrical work associated with the school's renovation project. During this period, power to the building will be unavailable, making the facility inaccessible for normal operations.
