Josiah Carpenter Library Elevator Completed
The Josiah Carpenter Library Trustees along with the Elevator Fund Committee are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our long-awaited elevator replacement project. This vital upgrade has been an extensive journey, and its completion is a milestone worth celebrating.
Bringing this project to fruition required dedication at every stage. The process involved finding the right manufacturing company, raising necessary funds, and executing extensive preparation work within the shaft to accommodate the new cart and modern, ADA-compliant doors.
We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who helped make this project possible. Our success is a direct result of our community's incredible generosity. We are immensely grateful to all the donors, as well as the numerous community members who contributed their spare change to collection boxes at The Friendly Diner, voting polls, and library as well as those who bought raffle tickets last summer. Without your collective support, this essential accessibility project would not have been possible.
Please join us on Monday, July 13 at 6:30pm for a short ribbon-cutting ceremony and a small reception to celebrate this achievement together.
Thank you for your continued support of our library and community.
Sincerely, The Josiah Carpenter Library Trustees and Elevator Fund Committee
