Hey Faison,

The YELLOW bus (Route L307 A.J Myers) is running behind schedule. They are experiencing some bus issues and are working on troubleshooting the problem now. As soon as I receive an update I will let you know. My apologies for the inconvenience!

Hey Faison,

If your student rides the Yellow Bus Route L307, unfortunately I'm still waiting on an update regarding the arrival of the bus. If you are able to, feel free to pick them up here at the school. Otherwise, it might be awhile before they get home. Again, I apologize for the delay, unfortunately these are circumstances beyond our reach, but trust we are diligent working to resolve the issue.

🚨 IMPORTANT EXTREME HEAT UPDATE 🚨

Pittsburgh Faison has been removed from the list of schools shifting to synchronous remote learning.

Pittsburgh Faison will resume in-person learning tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2.

The schools listed on the graphic will remain on synchronous remote learning through Thursday, September 3, 2026.

Please continue to monitor Pittsburgh Public Schools for additional updates. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and staff.

Seven recreation centers will open early Tuesday, September 1 through Thursday, September 3 to support students participating in synchronous remote learning.

⏰ Doors open at 8:00 AM
💻 Bring your device and/or schoolwork packets
🍎 Snacks will be provided
🏀 Regular afternoon programming will continue as scheduled

Arlington, Ormsby & Warrington Rec Centers will maintain their regular operating hours and programming.

Families must drop off students in person to complete required emergency contact information and drop-off/pick-up instructions.

We’ve had a successful first week of school, and it has been wonderful welcoming our scholars and families back! Our classrooms and hallways have been filled with excitement, learning, laughter, and plenty of Faison pride.
