POWER http://power-recovery.com More than 23 million Americans suffer from alcoholism and drug addiction, but only 11% receive treatment.

Women are the fastest-growing segment of substance users in the United States, with an estimated 2.7 million women abusing drugs or alcohol. Most women (66-90%) in treatment report histories of trauma, which may include domestic violence, early childhood sexual assault, physical abuse or neglect, loss of a child, or other traumatic experiences. Our staff is trained to understand the impact of trauma on recovery and our care reflects that understanding.

A planned gift to POWER can help ensure that women and families affected by substance use disorders continue to receive compassionate care, support, and hope for generations to come.

By including POWER in your will, trust, retirement plan, life insurance policy, or other estate plans, you can create a lasting legacy—often without affecting your finances today. Every gift, no matter the size, helps expand access to life-changing recovery services.

September is Su***de Prevention Month

This month, we’re reminded of the importance of connection, compassion, and making space for honest conversations about mental health.

A simple check-in can matter. A listening ear can matter. Reminding someone that they are seen, valued, and not alone can matter.

At POWER, we believe in hope, healing, and the possibility of recovery. This month—and every month—let’s continue to look out for one another, challenge stigma, and remind those around us that asking for help is a sign of strength.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health or su***de crisis, call or text 988 to connect with the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

You matter. Your story matters. There is hope. 💜

Recovery is about more than overcoming the past. It’s about building a future. 💜

At POWER, women have access to treatment, recovery housing, and supportive services designed to meet them where they are and help them move forward.

Every woman’s recovery journey is different, but having a safe, supportive community can make all the difference.

As one POWER client shared:

“POWER gave me a safe place to begin again. I found support, hope, and the confidence to believe that a different future was possible.”

We’re honored to walk alongside women as they build lives in recovery—one day, one decision, and one possibility at a time.

💜 Recovery Tip Tuesday

Recovery is made up of thousands of small victories.

Getting out of bed. Showing up for an appointment. Setting a healthy boundary. Asking for help. Making it through another day.

These moments may seem small, but together they build a stronger future.

Take a moment today to celebrate how far you’ve come—you’ve earned it.
