Join us next week - Saturday, September 19th through Sunday, September 20th - for our annual POW-MIA Vigil, presented by Vietnam Veterans, Inc.

Visit us on Saturday at noon for the opening ceremony, Saturday evening for a candlelight ceremony at dusk, and Sunday at noon for the closing ceremony.

To mark the 25th anniversary of the attacks on September 11th, 2001, a special display of artifacts donated by service members who served in the War on Terror will be available for viewing today only. The exhibit is available to view on our patio until 3 PM.

This year will mark the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. This program will focus on the veterans that served in the ensuing conflicts know as Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. We will be joined by Sergeant First Class Justin Bakow, a 15-year veteran of both conflicts, who will share his story. We will also highlight the story behind our America’s Defenders Statue, as well as artifacts from our collection related to the post 9/11 conflicts.

Master Sargent Arnold Jacobs served in the Pacific Theater during WWII. After his service, he returned home with several souvenirs including a katana. This katana is very well made and includes both gold and silver elements, so it should be very valuable. However, it also has a .45 caliber bullet hole in it, making it virtually worthless for sword collectors. We don't know exactly how this sword was struck , but its connection to WWII makes it a really unique piece that we are excited to preserve in our collection!

Join us on Friday, October 30th as we embrace Hannibal and horror for “The Silence of the Lambs Cage Night”, transforming our historic building into two full floors of seasonal entertainment and spooky thrills. While open to all ages, keep in mind the film is rated R and will be screened in its entirety as part of the evening.

The heart of this event is a life-sized replica of Hannibal’s cage, complete with a live Hannibal Lecter and the original rug and bed-frame from the film. Who will be brave enough to get a photo with Hannibal, in the same room where the infamous cage scene was filmed…?! Speaking of scary, costumes are encouraged. However, please no full-face masks or weapons.

Stroll the vendor marketplace, featuring some of the spookiest merchandise and entertainment in Pittsburgh. A variety of specialty refreshments will be available to purchase, including a cash bar for guests ages 21 and older. If you do intend to partake, please be sure to bring a valid photo ID.
