United Black Book Clubs of Pittsburgh UBBCP is an association of librarians, readers, and book clubs promoting literary activities and events.

UBBCP is an association of librarians, readers, and book clubs in Pittsburgh Pa. Through an united effort, UBBCP was formed to promote literary activities and events, to provide community outreach programs and to spread the love of reading throughout the community. Although UBBCP officially formed in 2004, various books have collaborated to bring authors and spread literacy to Pittsburgh since 199

1. Membership is open to any reader or book club in the greater Pittsburgh region. UBBCP's motto is to encourage everyone to "ride the wind of reading."

Come out to the Pgh Book Fest at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh (Main - Oakland) Saturday, May 30. The UBBCP will facilitate a Literacy Workshop. The workshop will open with a fun activity, Black Book Bingo, the history of literacy, banning/burning of books, and get your To-Go Literacy Kit. 2:30 pm. See you there.
