We're proud to share that Carlee Collins of Guns Down, Minds Up™ was selected as the winner of the Justice Impact Challenge. Congratulations Carlee!

Carlee represents everything this initiative is about, turning his lived experience into leadership, and his leadership into action.

His idea, voice, and commitment to Making Difference™ in his community made a lasting impression on everyone in the room, including our judges, who had the difficult task of choosing among so many strong ideas.

It’s an honor to support his journey with the $5,000 award and ongoing incubation through BreakIT. We are grateful to witness and support this kind of leadership.

She will be performing a sound healing session for the audience while the judges deliberate after the Justice Impact Challenge. BreakIT stands for Break Institutional Trauma, but it also reminds us to take a Break so we may take care of ourselves while helping others. BreakIT participated in a two-day Trauma Intervention Training to deepen our approach to trauma-informed care. At BreakIT, we know entrepreneurship doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Many of the founders we serve carry lived experience that requires just as much mental health support as it does business strategy.

This training strengthened how we show up for our clients, not only as entrepreneurs building businesses, but as people building stable futures.
