Last evening, members of Keating (Station 252) and Evergreen (Station 246) Fire Companies trained together on hose line advancement at the Ross Township training tower, continuing our commitment to preparedness, teamwork, and public safety. 🚒💪

Strong partnerships are built when neighboring companies come together with a shared mission - protecting our communities and serving the public at the highest level possible. Joint training opportunities like these strengthen communication, coordination, and operational readiness for real-world emergencies.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to train alongside our fellow firefighters and look forward to future collaborations with companies across Ross Township and Allegheny County as we stay ever ready to serve our residents safely and effectively.

Evergreen Volunteer Fire Company was proud and honored to stand alongside our community today at the Borough of West View Memorial Day Parade. Together, we paused to remember, honor, and pay tribute to the brave men and women of our armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🎖️🚒

We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to West View VFW Post 2745 and the Borough of West View for the invitation to participate in this beautiful tradition.

It was incredible to share the route with so many dedicated neighbors. A special shout-out to our fellow emergency service providers in attendance who stand ready to protect us every day. 🚒🚑🚓 The incredible marching bands that kept our spirits high. 🥁🎺 All of the local community groups, clubs, and veteran associations who marched with pride.

Days like today remind us how strong and connected our community truly is. Thank you to everyone who lined the streets to wave, salute, and remember with us. We are proud to serve you! ❤️🤍💙

JOIN US IN CONGRATULATING DEANNA AND DESIREE!

We are incredibly proud to announce that Deanna Hoover and Desiree Schramm (not pictured) both successfully completed their rigorous Interior Firefighter "Live Burn" Certification this week!

This milestone requires immense dedication, physical endurance, and hours of intense, hands-on training. Facing a live burn is no small feat, and these two young women stepped up to the challenge with determination and excellence.

Because of their hard work, our community is safer today. Deanna and Desiree embody the true spirit of dedication to training and betterment at Evergreen Volunteer Fire Company and proudly represent the future of female firefighters.

The Evergreen Volunteer Fire Company is honored to participate in the West View Memorial Day Parade this Monday, May 25th!

Come out with your family and friends as we march to honor our fallen heroes, support our incredible community, and show our deep gratitude to our veterans. 🎖️🚒

Keep an eye out for our Evergreen VFD Utility Truck (Station 246) along the parade route! Give us a wave, snap a picture, and celebrate the day with us.

📅 When: Monday, May 25, 2026
🕙 Time: Parade starts at 10:00 AM

Evergreen Volunteer Fire Company was honored to participate in a fire safety and awareness program with the amazing students and staff at the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children. ❤️🚒

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to educate, connect with, and serve our community while sharing important fire safety information. The thoughtful drawings and thank you cards the students created truly meant so much to our members and reminded us why community outreach matters.

Thank you to the students, teachers, and staff for welcoming us and allowing us to be part of such a meaningful experience. We look forward to continuing to build strong community relationships and helping keep our neighborhoods safe.
