Northland Public Library Northland Public Library enables, empowers and encourages lifelong learning and discovery in a safe, welcoming space for all.

Northland is the second largest library in Allegheny County, serving the areas of McCandless, Ross, Franklin Park, Marshall and Bradford Woods (and surrounding communities). Northland is also a member of the Allegheny County Library Association (ACLA) a system of 46 independent public libraries with more than 70 locations that work together, share resources and cooperate to provide a high level of public service to county residents.

Join us for our "Children's Gala 2026: A Rainforest Adventure" presented by AHN Wexford on Saturday, September 19 at 6 p.m. 🦎🐆🐍🐒🦥

The Children’s Gala is a special evening at the library full of fun and wonder for families with young children. Activities include strolling book characters, games, live entertainment, raffles, face painting, balloon artist, food, photo-op areas, and much more!

🆕 ICYMI ➡️ Trinket Trading Box 🤩

The Teen Room has a Trinket Trading Box! For those unfamiliar, "trinkets" are small objects like tiny figurines, pins, erasers, keychains, etc. that people trade at festivals and conventions, but trading boxes have become more common.

We front-loaded our new Teen Trinket Box with items left over from Summer Reading to get it started. The hope is the box will be self-sustaining and everyone will respect the "take one and leave one" rule 🤝

Northland is once again serving as a collection location for KnitHope, who collects handmade scarves and hats for distribution to people of various needs 🧶

Now through October 1 finished items should be put in a ziploc bag, brought to the library and placed in the collection box on either floor of the library!
