Today is Religious Brothers Day! Pray this prayer that Saint Joseph will guide all Religious Brothers:

Loving God, through the intercession of St. Joseph, the holy Religious Brothers, and all the saints, we pray that you strengthen Brothers in their total gift of themselves to you, bless them with new vocations to Consecrated Life of the Religious Brother, and help Brothers and the young people you entrust to them grow as your instruments of communion. O God, we humbly ask you that by Saint Joseph’s example, that each brother cherish in their heart the gift of love and communion given to them by your Son, so that they may be instruments of your communion, and thus respond to your call for them to be holy. We ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Risen Lord.

"Dementia-related illnesses impact the mind and affect virtually every aspect of a person’s life, including making many facets of daily living more difficult. Most residences are not built with the needs of an individual living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia-related illnesses in mind. However, almost every part of a residence can impact quality of life for someone living with a dementia-related illness and their family care partners. Even seemingly-cosmetic choices, such as wall colors, furniture patterns, and dishware, make a difference.

AFA created The Apartment—a model studio residence built in AFA’s New York City headquarters—to showcase ways that practical design and technology can greatly increase the quality of life for someone living with dementia and help family care partners protect their loved ones’ safety. Rosemary Bakker, President of Age-Friendly Design, was the lead designer who worked with AFA to design The Apartment."

Mission Statement

In tradition of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth our mission is to support and nurture families by providing essential services designed to empower families to fulfill their role in church and society.

Values

With a family perspective influencing all that the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth do, they call for the expression of three essential values from any ministry conducted in their name:

Faithful Listening: a way to claim and celebrate your identity in life and ministry; a way to hear the voices (new and old) within our hearts and within our world as a call to growth and development; a way to let God’s Spirit overshadow us and our ministry for mission.
