We join our Muslim friends and neighbors in mourning and in solidarity following the shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego.

We recognize the profound pain of religious intolerance and violence and stand firmly with you now and always.

Acts of hate-based violence can be especially painful or triggering for members of our Pittsburgh community. Counseling services are available to anyone who may need support.

Individuals between ages 12 and 22 can speak with a therapist through UpStreet via chat at upstreetpgh.org or drop in on weekdays from 12-5pm (12-4pm on Fridays) at 5844 Forward Ave.

Adults can connect with JFCS Counseling Services at 412-422-7200 or email [email protected]

The Collaborative for Immigrant Impact (CII) is seeking pro bono attorneys to share their knowledge to support immigrants and refugees building new lives in the Pittsburgh region.

By offering your time and expertise, you can help open doors to safety, stability, and opportunity for individuals and families in our community. Attorneys from a wide range of practice areas are needed to support our member organizations and expand access to justice.

If you have been looking for a meaningful way to give back, this is a powerful opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life. Together, we can help create a more welcoming Pittsburgh where everyone has the chance to thrive.

For more information, please contact [email protected] or 412-482-0190.

Su***de deeply affects individuals, families, and entire communities.

Join us on Wednesday, May 6 at 7pm at The Friendship Circle for a thoughtful and sensitive conversation with Rabbi Suzanne Offit about how we, as a Jewish community, can show up for one another with compassion and care.

Together, we'll explore ways to reduce stigma, support those impacted, and create space for healing and hope.

To RSVP, e-mail [email protected] or visit jfcspgh.org/communityconversation

A meaningful (and fun!) afternoon for teens is happening at Community Day School on May 17!

Teens can participate in a teen‑only learning session, followed by a resource fair for teens and parents featuring local Jewish programs, leadership opportunities, engagement, education, and travel opportunities, and community resources.

At the resource fair, learn more about Jewish Scholarship Service, which coordinates scholarships for local Jewish students from a group of organizations, agencies, and scholarship endowment funds.

There will also be a Bruster’s Sundae Bar and silent raffles with exciting prizes, including Pirates tickets, gift cards, AirPods, and adult LEGO® sets!
