The MCP Support Center Staff were excited to have had you join us for the 2010 Mentoring Children of Prisoners (MCP) conference this year in New Orleans, Louisiana. Seeing nearly 500 participants, including grantees, speakers, Family Youth Services Bureau (FYSB) staff, and MCP Support Center staff, come together for this educational and engaging event featuring 50 workshops and moving keynote speakers, was one of this year’s highlights. The conference theme of Mentoring Makes a Difference: Strengthening Partnerships and Sustaining Collaboration was truly demonstrated through your stories, experiences, and networking.
We are glad to have offered the diversity and quality of workshops, online resources, and multiple networking opportunities, such as regional seating and lunches, in addition to social elements like the Welcome Reception featuring a local Jazz Band (and spontaneous Congo lines). For those of you that could join us, we are glad you could experience and learn at this year’s conference. For those that could not join us this year, hopefully we will see you at the 2011 MCP Conference!
