Point Park University Police Department

The Department has both sworn police officers and non-sworn public safety officers, who serve as dispatchers. Police officers respond to criminal, security, fire, and EMS emergencies. All Point Park University police officers are sworn and certified under the Municipal Police Officers' Training Academy (ACT120). All have Pennsylvania certification in CPR, AED, and first aid, with some officers cer

tified at higher levels of medical training. The Police Department is at work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide a safe, secure living and learning environment for the University community. The Department of Public Safety offers comprehensive safety and security services to all valued members of our Point Park community and works vigilantly with our city, county, state, and federal public safety partners. Crimes occurring on campus are reported to the Public Safety Department, Police Division, when appropriate and when required by law. The Department of Public Safety maintains an excellent relationship with the City of Pittsburgh Police, Fire, Emergency Medical Services, and Emergency Management Agency. Value Statement
