New Post: Garfield Community Farm and non-profit InvolveMINT are hosting a Mixer and Community Exchange from 4 to 7 p.m. May 30.

The mixer will feature 10 or more local businesses or nonprofits offering goods in exchange for either cash or what InvolveMINT refers to as community credits. Pittsburgh's annual comprehensive financial report was released recently. The report looks at the fiscal health of the city. City Controller Rachael Heisler’s office released the 2025 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report on May 1. This report tells the story of the city’s financial activities for 2025.

The general fund spent $44 million more than it brought in. Revenues and expenses were stable.

The big take away is the federal COVID relief dollars masked the core financial issue facing the city: spending is outpacing revenue.
