Wilkerson's analysis of how oppressive systems operate is so powerful, and she writes about some connections across history that I didn't know about before. It's a brutally devastating read, but I think it's also an essential one for anyone who wants to understand more about the history of the U.S.

So that staff can prepare for Adopt-a-Book, CCM Edgewood will be CLOSED on Friday, September 11. Still haven't purchased your Adopt-a-Book tickets? Purchase them online through our website or at either CCM location. Tickets are $10 when purchased in advance and will be $20 at the door.

🚨 SERVICE CHANGES 🚨

Beginning Monday, September 14, the second floor of CCM Edgewood will be closed for renovations until further notice. Adapted adult services will be available on the first floor and will include access to public computers, printing & copying, and an expanded adult Best Sellers collection.

Curbside pickup will be expanded during construction. Patrons can pull up to the designated curbside spot, call 412-731-0909 and a staff member will being held materials to your vehicle.

Parking on Pennwood Ave. will be extremely limited due to construction vehicles and materials. Four parking spaces will remain available including one reserved for accessible parking and another reserved for curbside pick up. Further parking on surrounding streets will be available as usual.

This opportunity would require a 3x a week cleaning schedule during hours that the library is not open, approximately 8-10 hours per week. Pay is 16.00 an hour.

There's just ONE WEEK until our Adopt-a-Book event. Do you have your tickets yet? You can purchase tickets at either CCM location or on our website. Tickets are just $10 in advance and will be $20 if purchased at the door.

Library programs in the Koenig Field House are CANCELED Wednesday and Thursday, 9/2 and 9/3, due to the heat advisory and rising temperatures. CCM Edgewood and CCM Forest Hills will be open normal hours if you need to cool off in air conditioning.
