We recently hosted our Neighborhood Partnership Program (NPP) sponsors for a special meeting — and were thrilled to also welcome Rick Vilello, Deputy Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, and local elected officials to Mt. Oliver for a presentation, business district tour, and lunch. It was an amazing day with Representative Benham, Senator Costa’s office, community leaders, and our partners. Special thanks to our NPP partners for their continued support in this important work: United Concordia, Giant Eagle, Fragasso Financial, Northwest Bank. Together with Hilltop Economic Development Corporation, Hilltop Alliance, and Brashear Association, we are continuing to invest in the future of our communities and business district.

Mt. Oliver Borough’s Community Clean-Up Series continues THIS WEEKEND — and this one is all about flexibility.

Instead of a set meeting time, this weekend’s event is self-paced, so you can pitch in whenever it works best for you. Stop by the Borough Building anytime this week during business hours to pick up bags, gloves, and supplies—then head out and clean up your block on your own schedule. Public Works will take care of collecting bags on Monday morning.

We’re also encouraging everyone to take on our “2-2-4 Challenge”:
➡️ Clean 2 houses to your left
➡️ 2 houses to your right
➡️ And the 4 homes across the street

It’s a simple way to make a big impact right where you live.
