Vacant lots are new opportunities for community housing.

Builders are invited to share ideas for several vacant City- and Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh-owned lots across Larimer to create new housing in partnership with the community. Many of the lots once had homes on them and represent an opportunity to bring homes, investment and families to the neighborhood.

A Request for Interest will be released June 22 with proposals due August 24. Go to URA.org/pages/proposals-bids for more information.

Another storefront in Garfield is full of life thanks to Los Sabrosos Dance Co., a dance and fitness organization dedicated to helping individuals find freedom, passion, self-expression, and self-confidence through movement.

Los Sabrosos recently closed on a loan with our community lending partner Invest PGH to support their expansion to a second location at 5129 Penn Ave. The URA is proud to partner with Invest PGH to help City of Pittsburgh small businesses grow and keep our neighborhood business districts vibrant!
