Families and neighbors are invited to Be My Neighbor Day in the Borough of Wilkinsburg on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Inspired by the legacy of Fred Rogers, the free event helps children learn what it means to be a caring neighbor and encourages families to connect with each other, while promoting a welcoming environment for all.

Program Spotlight: Found Art – An Intergenerational Art Day

📅 When: Tuesday, September 22 from 3-6:30 p.m.
📍 Where: Castle Shannon Library, 3677 Myrtle Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15234

Join the fun at this all-ages found art program. It will be on the lower level of the library. This program is all about found art, so drop in and use any of the provided recyclable materials, or bring your own items, and set your imagination free to create something new!

📚✨ The Allegheny County Library Association book vending machine at Allegheny County Family Court received quite the glow-up last month!

Children come to Family Court for many different reasons, including custody, foster care, and adoption. These free books provide a bright spot to look forward to after their visit—or a little respite while they wait. 💙
