Perry art students let their creativity bloom. Students visited the Pittsburgh Glass center. During this introductory workshop they gathered molten glass from the 2,100°F furnace and added color. Then guided by a skilled instructor’s, pulled, shaped, stretched, and sculped glass into colorful flowers.

Last week, Perry’s ninth grade class took a break from the end of the year craziness to go roller skating in celebration of their great attendance this school year. It was a blast celebrating them and having some good ol’ fashioned fun! The ninth grade class beat out all other grade levels, rounding out May with a school best attendance rate of 86%. What do you think, can they top that next year with a 90% attendance rate? I wouldn’t count them out! We can’t wait to see what this group achieves their next three years at Perry. Way to go, Commodores!

Happy Mothers Day to all the Ladies that help shape the lives of our Perry Commodores. It was such a delight to host our first Mothers Day event “Morning with Her”. Students and Moms (grandma's, aunties, friends) enjoyed food, some pampering and time together. We can't wait to do this again. Big Shout out to Ms. O Malley for putting such a great idea in motion and to the students in our Student Envoy Program for hosting. We will share more photos soon.
