Fox Chapel Road Paving Update

The Allegheny County Department of Public Works has provided an update regarding the ongoing milling and paving project on Fox Chapel Road between Delafield Road and Foxhurst Drive.

Weather permitting, paving is expected to begin at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16. The County is currently completing paving work on another roadway and anticipates finishing that project Tuesday afternoon, provided weather conditions allow.

Paving on Fox Chapel Road will begin at the northern end of the project, at or near Foxhurst Drive. Work will proceed in relatively small sections, with both the northbound and southbound lanes within each section scheduled to be paved on the same day.

The paving portion of the project is expected to continue for approximately three to four weeks, with work occurring weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

During construction, traffic will alternate through a moving work zone. Flaggers and police officers will be present to manage traffic and assist motorists.

Motorists should expect delays and use caution when traveling through the work zone. The Township appreciates everyone's patience while Allegheny County completes this roadway improvement project.
