Baldwin-Whitehall Educational Foundation BWEF inspires excellence and innovation in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District.

The Baldwin-Whitehall Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports excellence and innovation in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District. Founded in 2008, BWEF hopes to improve the K-12 educational experience through student scholarship funding, faculty innovation grants, and funding of special projects and initiatives.

What a delicious night! The third annual Tastebuds Jr. Culinary Tasting Event raised ~$4,500 for Best Buddies Pittsburgh and for the Best Buddies clubs at Baldwin High School and J. E. Harrison Middle School! That's a 33% increase from last year!

The sold out crowd of 150 guests packed the R. A. Lutz Elementary School cafeteria for an evening of food and fun. It was a night like no other in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District and we'd like to thank everyone who helped make it special.

We will host a Summer Safety Education section at the "We Are Neighbors" event hosted by the Baldwin-Whitehall School District on May 28. The following organizations will join us to share safety tips and information related to the summer months ahead:

Baldwin Borough Fire Department
Baldwin Borough Police Department
FBI - Pittsburgh Citizens Academy
Goldfish Swim School - Peters Township
Medical Rescue Team South Authority
Pittsburgh Poison Center
Township of Baldwin
Whitehall Public Library Children's Department
Whitehall Fire Company, Station 301
Whitehall Borough Police Department
Whitehall Borough Recreation

Start at the BWEF table to get your Scavenger Hunt Worksheet and visit each of the organizations in our area to get a sticker. After you get a sticker from every group, return your completed worksheet to the BWEF table for a chance to win an Amazon gift card!

Please join us in congratulating our 2026 BWEF Scholarship Recipients! We are honored to celebrate your success in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District.

Thanks to our community partners, BWEF was able to make more than $40,000 available for scholarship funding this year, establishing a new foundation high for the fifth consecutive year. We'd like to thank our community partners for their continued support.
