Today, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, military members, and countless ordinary Americans who showed extraordinary courage in the face of tragedy.

For those of us in the fire service, 9/11 will always hold a special place in our hearts as we remember the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice.

May we never forget those we lost, those who answered the call, and the families who carry their memory every day.

United we stood. United we remember. 🇺🇸

Today we recognize the hardworking men and women whose dedication, skill, and service help keep our communities strong. We also thank all of the first responders and volunteers who continue to answer the call—even on a holiday.

We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable Labor Day with family and friends!
