Twenty-five years ago, we tragically lost a great firefighter, husband, father, and friend who did what he loved, serving the great community of Ross Township. Bobby was operating a pump at a structure fire in his home fire district of Perrysville on Hillendale Rd when he suffered a medical emergency. Never Forgotten will take it from here, brother. Firefighter Winner was assigned to pump the hydrant supplying the attack pumper at the scene of the fire. While Firefighter Winner was setting up his unit to pump, he began to experience chest pains. He used a radio to call for EMS assistance. Medical personnel, including a doctor, were at his side in minutes. Despite efforts at the scene and enroute to the hospital, Firefighter Winner died of a heart attack.
