📈🎓 PPS Career & Technical Education hosted its Local Advisory and Perkins Stakeholders Meeting to review the progress and highlights of the 2025-2026 school year.

Industry partners, community stakeholders, and PPS staff came together to celebrate accomplishments, review Perkins performance data, discuss student outcomes, and identify opportunities for continued growth across our CTE programs.

🎗️🩺 PPS CTE Pittsburgh Carrick Health Career students had the opportunity to participate in an inspiring Oncology Careers Experience Day with the AHN Cancer Institute!

Students explored the diverse world of healthcare careers through:
🔬 Interactive lab and hospital tours
🧠 A Kahoot knowledge challenge
🧬 Discussions on the latest advances in cancer genetics
🚁 A special Life Flight experience
💬 A “Heroes in Health” panel discussion with healthcare professionals

This hands-on experience gave students valuable insight into the many career pathways within the medical and healthcare field. Thank you to the AHN Cancer Institute and all presenters for creating such an engaging and educational day for our students! 👏
