Call for Abstracts – 2026 WTS Northeast Regional Conference

📅 Fridays, Feb 6, 13, 20 & 27, 2026 | 9–10:30 AM ET | Virtual

This year’s theme, “Navigating the Northeast: Women at the Helm of Transportation Innovation,” celebrates the leadership, creativity, and collaboration of women shaping the future of transportation.

We’re looking for a wide range of session styles—panels, talks, case studies, spotlight sessions, leadership stories, and more. If it drives innovation and reflects women’s advancing transportation, we’d love to hear from you!

📝 Abstract deadline: Nov 14, 2025

Congratulations to Claire McGinnis, PE, PTOE on winning the Bridgette Beato Leadership Legacy Scholarship for Graduates from WTS International!!

Claire was previously a member of the WTS Pittsburgh chapter but had to leave to begin her Master’s Program at UC Davis in 2022. She was our 2022 Member of the year and served as our Treasurer from 2019-2021.

We are so proud of all of your hard work and achievements!

WTS DE&I committee invites you to join us in volunteering for the July PedalPGH Open Streets on Sunday July 27th from 9:15-2:15. We will be volunteering to be Intersection Heroes, where we will be partying and monitoring an intersection along the route (intersection TBD). For those unfamiliar with Open Streets, it is an event where streets are closed to cars, and people are encouraged to walk or bike along the route. For more information, see the following link:
