PORCHMONT maps will be available at https://boro.dormont.pa.us/porchmont/ a few days prior to the event. Hard copies will be at the Fire Station and Library that evening.

Last day to register as a host with an Official Stop on the map is this WEDNESDAY SEPT 16th.

Pittsburgh is currently experiencing a blood shortage and the more donors we can get in the better. We sincerely appreciate all your help and support!

The September voting meeting is tonight (Tuesday, September 8) beginning at 7 PM - delayed one day due to the Labor Day holiday.

On the consent agenda for Council’s consideration is the acceptance of numerous monthly reports, personnel items, and the approval of three new volunteer firefighters. Actions items include approval of a proclamation designating September as “Hunger Action Month,” an amendment to correct the terms of the borough’s general obligation note, appointment of bond counsel and investment banker, approval of the active transportation plan, appointment of PNC as investment advisor, authorization to pay the borough’s MMOs and the volunteer fire department contribution, acceptance of the salt bid, purchase of energy efficient equipment and fixtures through the Act 129 rebate program, acceptance of an Audubon Society grant and public good funds, and approval of the sale of a property surplus vehicle.

The meeting will be held at 7 PM in Council’s Chambers. Residents are welcome to attend in person or may also participate by Zoom. The link to the Zoom meeting is available on the borough’s calendar.

From the municipal crews maintaining our parks and roads, to the first responders keeping our streets safe, to the educators, transit workers, local business staff, and volunteers—your hard work forms the backbone of our community.

Thank you for your tireless efforts, your skill, and your commitment to making our borough a safe, vibrant, and welcoming place to live. Wishing everyone across our community a restful and well-deserved holiday!
