Harvest of the Month at Avonworth Primary!

Last week, students taste-tested a Cherry Tomato & Corn Salad featuring fresh, locally grown produce from Soergel Orchards!

Our Avonworth Food Service Team is bringing some new skills into the school year!

Annie Cavanah and Darlene Kuban recently participated in PA Harvest of the Month culinary training, learning new ways to incorporate fresh, locally grown foods into school meals.

Congratulations also to Paige Wuenstel, Jamie Shaulis and Elizabeth Berie on earning their Certified Food Protection Manager certifications! 🎉

The Avonworth Food Service Team spent some time in the kitchen before the start of the school year for hands-on culinary training!

The team worked on protein-packed breakfast options, fresh salads featuring Harvest of the Month local produce, and scratch and speed-scratch lunch entrées.

It was a great opportunity to try some new ideas and prepare for another year of serving fresh, nutritious meals to our students.

Reimagining senior year!

Avonworth School District was recently featured in a KidsburghPgh story highlighting how local school districts are rethinking the senior-year experience and preparing students for life beyond high school.

At Avonworth, that means reimagining what learning can look like during a student’s final year — providing meaningful, real-world experiences that help students explore their interests, develop valuable skills and take confident steps toward their futures.

New efforts at Burrell, Butler Area and Avonworth school districts are aimed at ensuring that graduates are ready for whatever their future may hold.

The fall sports season is officially underway, and we’re excited to cheer on our Lopes! Show your support all season long with a Fall Sports Pass!

• Football — $16 | Family: $45
• Girls Soccer — $36 | Family: $108
• Boys Soccer — $32 | Family: $96
• Volleyball — $28 | Family: $84
• All Fall Sports Pass — $112 | Family: $336

Individual tickets are also available:
• Athletic Office: $2 students | $3 adults
• At the gate: $5 per person (cash only)

Tickets are available in the Athletic Office Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m.–2 p.m., and Fridays on game days before school and during lunch.

Our newest Avonworth students celebrated a big milestone at our Kindergarten Welcome Party before officially starting school on Wednesday!

It was a great opportunity to meet new friends, explore their school, and get ready for an exciting year ahead.
