The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh — Hazelwood branch is hosting a Technical, Educational, and Vocational (TEV) Fair for teens to plan for their future with local schools from around the Pittsburgh area!

The Teen TEV Fair will be held this Thursday, September 17th, from 5pm to 7:30pm at CLP Hazelwood (5006 Second Ave). If you have questions, you can call the Hazelwood Library branch at 412-421-2517.

The City of Pittsburgh’s 2022 Housing Needs Assessment identified a critical need for action to support the creation of new housing and the preservation of existing units. In 2024, the Department of City Planning developed a series of zoning amendments designed to reduce barriers to new housing construction, lower housing costs, and expand affordable housing options. This bill has gone through a number of changes over the past two years and will soon come to City Council for a final vote.

To understand these zoning changes and what they may mean for your community, please join Pittsburgh City Planning for a virtual public meeting on the evening of Monday, August 31st from 6:00pm-7:30pm.

After nearly three years of planning and more than 20,000 comments from the public, PRT has released its Proposed Final Network and opened the formal public comment period. This is an important opportunity for riders, communities, and stakeholders to review the proposal and provide feedback directly to the PRT Board before it considers whether to adopt the plan.
