National Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Week, celebrated June 11 through 17 this year, is an important opportunity to honor the dedication, skill and compassion of CNA’s, ensuring their contributions are celebrated and valued within the healthcare community. The observance was established to recognize the critical contributions of CNA’s, who provide direct care to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare settings. CNA’s have a long history of service, dating back to programs under the Red Cross during World War I, where they worked alongside U.S. Army nurses to care for wounded soldiers. The week emphasizes appreciation, professional development, and advocacy for CNA rights.
Be sure to take a moment to thank our CNA’s that care for our veterans every single day!
