Little Italy Day is something to appreciate every year♥️ I got to hang out with some of my favorite friends that are Italian, meet new people and eat delicious authentic foods 😋.

Fun fact: I keep a evil eye on me to protect me from evil intentions. I got my friends niece and I got matching ones to teach her were in control of what we choose to internalize.

While I wear evil eyes, I know the strength is in me🙌🏾 just a reminder for the top of the week! 💚 Happy Monday, have an amazing start to your week on PURPOSE

The state of this election is scary! Building awareness around the power of our votes is critical to ensuring we don’t keep being in the position of fighting for our rights! We need to hold our candidates and elected officials accountable year round. This is what we discussed this past Sunday, providing voter registration at the Davis family reunion.

I was grateful to help Ms. Roberta Louise Pryor-Alston talk to over 100 voters.
I recently met Victoria who’s working with the PA Dems and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to invite her to help discuss the impact of this election and what’s at stake!

I had the honor of gifting an almost 18 year old and early birthday present— a Voter registration form! It was refreshing to see him so excited to receive it.

Thank you, Dr. Oaks, of the Davis Family for inviting us to talk to your family members about the Power of Voting!

Thank you again, Ms. Roberta for including Victoria and I 💙 Efforts like this make a difference.

Thank everyone for all your support, encouragement, and even endorsements 💙 Grant and I didn’t win Young Democrats President and Vice President but we’re honored to have so much support behind us still.

Thank you Kellianne Frketic for a Better Elizabeth Township and Mon Valley and the Youngest elected official in Pennsylvania Elijah Majocha for coming all the way from Elizabeth and Harrison Twp to support us.

Thank you Ian Price and Monica Anna Muszalski for your endorsements, and everyone who voted for us!

This doesn’t stop the work, but it definitely has fired me up to continue and even go a little harder💙 in the words of the late Nipsey Hustle, the marathon continues.

Weekends are for service! After tending the community garden on the Northside, I headed over to the Ceasefire Gun Violence Awareness event in North Braddock with my friends Mayor Cletus Lee, and Mayor Markus Adams, and Mayor Delia Lennon who honored her late beautiful daughter.

After Mayor Delia’s speech, I will never forget the number 3 that I unfortunately could relate to:

1. Being a Community member, 2. Being a Leader in your community 3. Being a victim of gun violence. Too many of us can connect to this no matter what zipcode you live in.

Thank you CeaseFirePA for your advocacy year round for better gun laws!

Dena Stanley did it again! Over 65,000 people gather every year to celebrate the largest Pride held in the Commonwealth.

Thank you, Dena for dedicating your LIFE to creating safe spaces for the LGBTQIA+ and historically marginalized communities. I see how much energy, compassion, and resources you seek and put out for humanity overall and this celebration is one of the many successful outcomes of your efforts.

Because of you, so many people feel seen, heard, and loved! I had so much fun with all of the amazing people I have pictures with and those I missed. Thank you, for being YOU!

It was so exciting to bring my little sisters to their first Pride and this time I drove through the parade! ☺️ This year just like every year was truly a time to remember.

When my sis used that quote today that’s when I knew Chavaysha was a missing piece of my village! I’m so happy we met and went into depth today on what it means for us to be in the community and political space in Pittsburgh. There’s not a lot of us! It’s important we stick together 💛 it was so great meeting with you today sis.

Also, I don’t believe in coincidences so when we ran into Brian Burley, the founder of YNGBLKPGH I know it was fate! It was so wonderful meeting you today, Brian.

Yesterday was my turn to show up and support! 🥰 Congratulations again, to local artist Gavin Benjamin for your beautiful Art Gallery held at the Portal.

Then I ran over to support my fellow Changemaker friends, as they hosted their last fundraiser before our graduation this month!

It was so great running into familiar and new faces💙 I met new people like Tiara and Christopher and enjoyed passionate conversations with the Board Members of Multiplying Good, Dr. Christine McClure, Courtney Stein, my cohort friends, Ally (the best intern ever!) and their supporters.

The weather is breaking, sun shining, I’m looking forward to more days like yesterday with great company.
