Stay aware

The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded most of the local area to an Enhanced Risk (Level 3 out of 5) for severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening. The upgrade is due to increasing confidence in the potential for damaging wind gusts and large hail that could exceed golf ball size. A tornado or two still cannot be ruled out.

At last night's meeting, the Shaler Township Board of Commissioners recognized Rick Hilinski, Chris Cavlovich, and Mike Cavlovich for 50+ years of service at the Sharps Hill Volunteer Fire Department. We thank them for their commitment and dedication.

Update from County Hauling:
Trash pickup will be delayed by one day this week due to the snow.

You may see a truck in the area on your regular pickup day. Rest assured, they will be back the following day for pickup.
