Holiday Office Closure

🎄❤️ Christmas is coming, and for many families in our community, a Christmas meal is not something they can take for granted.

As we prepare for the Christmas season at The Salvation Army, we are asking our community to help ensure that families have more than gifts under the tree—we want them to have a warm meal around the table, too.

We are currently seeking donations of nonperishable fruits, vegetables, and desserts, including canned green beans, corn, peas, carrots, canned fruit, applesauce, boxed cake or brownie mix, pie filling, and other shelf-stable holiday foods.

Please bring your donations to The Salvation Army, located at 129 South Wayne Street, during regular office hours, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donations will be accepted through December 7 so we can prepare Christmas meals for families in time for the holiday.

For some families, your donation may be the difference between an empty table and a Christmas dinner.

It may be a can of green beans that completes the meal.
A can of fruit that gives a child something sweet.
A box of dessert that makes Christmas feel a little more like Christmas.

These are more than cans and boxes of food. They are reminders that someone cares. That their community has not forgotten them. That even during a difficult season, there is still hope. ❤️

If you are able, please pick up an extra item—or several—during your next grocery trip and bring it to The Salvation Army before December 7.

Together, we can make sure no family has to wonder where their Christmas meal will come from.

🎄❤️ Christmas Sign-Ups Are Right Around the Corner ❤️🎄

For some families, Christmas is a season filled with excitement and anticipation. For others, it can bring worry, stress, and the difficult question of how they will make Christmas special for their children.

That’s why we’re here. ❤️

Our Christmas Assistance Sign-Ups will be October 19–23. If your family needs a little extra help this Christmas, please know there is no shame in asking for help. We all go through seasons when we need someone to come alongside us, and we want you to know that our community cares.
