Piperton Police Department Inclement Weather Policy Notice

The Piperton Police Department will be operating under the Inclement Weather Policy from Friday, January 23rd at 11:00pm until further notice.

If possible, please avoid traveling during this time. Dangerous road conditions are expected, and your safety is our top priority. If travel is absolutely necessary, please exercise extreme caution.

In the event of a motor vehicle accident during this period, please follow these guidelines:

• Exchange Information: Both drivers should exchange the following details:
o Names
o Insurance information
o Phone numbers
o Vehicle tag numbers

• Document the Scene: Take clear photos of:
o Vehicle damage
o License plates

• Reporting: Both drivers must arrange a time to meet at Piperton Police Department with the involved vehicles to file an accident report. This must be done within 10 days after the policy ends.

• In Case of Injury or Inoperable Vehicles: If there are any injuries or if either vehicle is inoperable, please call 911 immediately for an officer to respond to the scene.

FYI the City of Piperton just adopted a new fireworks ordinance.

Here's what you need to know about using fireworks in Piperton:

Permissible Times:
July 1st - July 3rd: 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
July 4th: 10:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Safety Guidelines:
The Piperton Police Dept. also wants to remind residents to celebrate responsibly with fireworks.
Always have water or a fire extinguisher nearby.
Never relight malfunctioning fireworks.
Keep children and pets at a safe distance.
