🔥 Brush Fire Response – September 3, 2026 🔥

Yesterday, September 3, at approximately 5:10 PM, Pipe Creek VFD was dispatched to a reported brush fire that had already burned across approximately half of a property.

The fire continued to spread onto a neighboring property, but thanks to the quick response and coordinated efforts of Pipe Creek VFD and our surrounding departments, crews were able to contain the fire and prevent further spread.

⚠️ Please remember: Even though our area has received some much-needed rain this summer, conditions remain very dry, and vegetation can ignite and spread quickly. Bandera County is currently under a countywide burn ban. Please use extreme caution with anything that could create a spark or start a fire.

A big thank you to Bandera VFD, Castle Lake VFD, and Medina Lake VFD for responding and assisting your neighboring department. We greatly appreciate the continued teamwork and support between our local fire departments.

Don’t miss bingo this Friday, all proceeds benefit our department. There will be a free Labor Day door prize drawing, and the first 100 players will receive a mini highland cow bingo charm. The cash prize payouts add up to over $3,500+ depending on player count and number of event card games played before regular bingo.

🔥BURN BAN IN EFFECT-Well folks, here we are again! 🔥

Bandera County is under a Burn Ban as of August 27th, 2026. Conditions are getting pretty dry; we’re asking everyone to please avoid burning whenever possible.

If you absolutely must burn, it needs to be -
▪️Household garbage ONLY,
▪️Contained in a burn barrel with a proper mesh cover, and
▪️No open burning!

Better yet—let's just skip the match and make a trip to the dump. We know it’s not as convenient, BUT neither is having the fire department show up because your fire decided to go visit the neighbors. 🔥

It doesn’t take much for a small fire to get out of control. Taking a few extra precautions can help prevent property damage, protect our community, and keep you from facing costly fines—or even jail time.

Please help us protect our residents, first responders, and beautiful Bandera County. When in doubt, don’t burn!
