Our team had a wonderful time attending the BASA - Business Association San Antonio’s Networking Event, where local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations came together to learn more about one another and explore opportunities to collaborate and make a greater impact together.

🌟 A special thank you to The Mermaid Cafe for hosting this incredible event! What began as one young woman's dream to bake has grown, with the support of her family and community, into a thriving business that creates opportunities for individuals with special needs to showcase their talents, build confidence, and gain independence. 🧁🧜‍♀️💙

Join us for our Spanish Safe Riders Car Seat Class on September 17 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Seguin Public Library!

Parents and caregivers will learn important child passenger safety tips to help keep children safe while riding in vehicles. ✅

💡 Registration is required, and free car seats may be available for qualifying families.

Every child deserves a safe ride, and we're here to help make that possible! 💙

We were thrilled to host our first East Vault Rural Pop-Up in Victoria, created to support local foster and kinship families with clothing, essentials, and resources they need to thrive. 👕🧸🏡

🤝 A heartfelt thank you to Vault Fostering Community for partnering with us to provide clothing and basic necessities to families in our community.

🧺 Special thanks to our resource partner, Pain to Purpose, for blessing each household with a laundry basket filled with detergent and other cleaning supplies. Your generosity made a meaningful difference for every family served.

🏠 And thank you to C3 victory for opening your doors and providing a welcoming space to distribute these much-needed items.

Our East Region recently hosted a Frontline Resource Fair, bringing together teams from SJRC Texas | Belong, Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, Golden Crescent CASA , and local community partners for an afternoon of connection, learning, and collaboration.

Events like these help ensure the families we serve have access to the resources, support, and services available throughout our community. When organizations come together, we can better connect families to the help they need and strengthen outcomes for children and caregivers alike. 🌟

As discussions continue around proposed funding cuts that could impact critical community services, we were encouraged to see nonprofit leaders, advocates, and elected officials come together to highlight the value of the services that support thousands of individuals and families across San Antonio.

Thank you to District 1 Councilmember Sukh Kaur, District 4 Councilmember Edward Mungia, ChildSafe CIO Elizabeth Reeves, and SAGE CEO James Nortey for engaging in important conversations about partnership, advocacy, and our community's future.

Join us for Nurturing Fathers, a 12-week parenting program designed to support male caregivers in building stronger, healthier relationships with the children in their lives.

This engaging series focuses on improving family relationships, strengthening communication, and providing tools that help create a positive and nurturing home environment. Because every child deserves a father or father figure who provides guidance, encouragement, love, and support. 🌟

🎉 One Year of Keeping Children Safe in Bexar County 🎉

This month marks one year since SJRC Texas took on the responsibility of managing Intake and Placement services in Bexar County. We're incredibly proud of our team and partners for the impact they've made in the lives of children and families.

Why does this matter?

When a child must be removed from their home for safety reasons, finding the right placement quickly is critical. In the past, some children faced delays because there weren't enough available placements, leaving them without a stable place to stay during an already difficult time.

Over the last year, our team has worked tirelessly to ensure children are connected to safe, appropriate placements as quickly as possible. This effort is about more than finding an open bed. It's about finding stability, support, and a path forward for children when they need it most.

What we're most proud of is that through strong partnerships, coordination, and commitment, we've helped ensure that children in our community are not left waiting for the care they deserve.

This milestone belongs to every caseworker, provider, foster family, partner, and team member who shows up each day committed to the well-being of children and families.

💙 Thank you to everyone who makes this work possible. One year later, we remain focused on the same goal: ensuring every child has a safe place to be and the support they need to thrive.
